Impact

Broad Impact, Results Anchored in Local Realities. Our reports reflect what’s happening on the ground—across the critical landscapes.

3,3 M

of forested area

  1. Forests Protected, Futures Secured.

By combining technology, advocacy, and collaboration, we ensure that forest protection becomes a lasting foundation for climate resilience and socio-economic justice.

3,300

farmers supported in obtaining access

legalization and registration

  1. Justice Rooted in the Land.

We stand beside farmers in the process of access legalization and registration, ensuring their rights are recognized and protected. By doing so, we strengthen communities, foster sustainability, and create opportunities for equitable growth.

12

Districts of existing intervention area

  1. Interventions with Impact.

Our work is grounded in established intervention areas where we actively engage with communities, monitor landscapes, and drive sustainable practices, living examples of how collaborative action can protect forests, secure livelihoods, and shape fairer supply chains.

11

Villages with Carbon Neutral Edible Oil

  1. From Villages to Climate Solutions.

We are pioneering carbon-neutral edible oil production. By combining sustainable practices with community empowerment, these villages demonstrate how climate responsibility and livelihoods can grow hand in hand.

4

Commodities

  1. Sustainability Across Supply Chains.

We are working hand in hand with communities and companies in palm oil, coffee, soy, and coconut—reflecting our commitment to addressing the commodities most critical to global trade and environmental sustainability.

Landscapes

Restoring balance where biodiversity thrives and communities depend, Nature50 works where ecosystems are most fragile, and where protection means a future for both people and planet.

Spanning 2.6 million ha across Aceh and North Sumatra, the Leuser Ecosystem is one of the world’s most important tropical rainforests.
Delta Pawan lies in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan — the province’s second-largest district (31,588 km²), bordering Central Kalimantan.
Located in Sambas Regency, this 162,345-hectare landscape spans 13 villages across 4 sub-districts
215,000 hectares of peatlands, mangroves, and village farms, this landscape connects local stewardship with palm oil traceability systems.

Challenges

Tropical landscapes are a mosaic of ecological, economic, and social dimensions. However, their management remains trapped in sectoral silos and overlapping authorities.
Even the global market’s adoption of NDPE has not fully addressed these challenges. Without integration into the climate agenda and tangible landscape investments, the gap between promises and reality will only continue to widen.

How We Work

Nature50 transforms global pledges into meaningful action across landscapes and communities. Through cross-actor dialogue, spatial data–driven monitoring, community-based field verification, and direct ecosystem investment, we close the gap between local needs and global supply chain demands.

Uniting Actors, Transforming Landscapes, Sustaining the Future

At Nature50, we believe that only through cross-actor collaboration can tropical landscapes be safeguarded, communities empowered, and global supply chains made truly sustainable.
